Browsing events

Use the filter bar on the main page to narrow down events:

  • Date range — pick a start and end date to limit results to a specific period
  • Organisation — filter by a specific organising group
  • Dance style — show only events with a particular dance
  • Event type — ball, workshop, festival, or session

Click an event title to open the detail page, which shows the full description, location map, and booking options.

The calendar icon on each event opens a direct iCal download for that event alone.

Calendar feeds (iCal)

Subscribe to events as a live calendar feed in any iCal-compatible app (Google Calendar, Thunderbird, Apple Calendar, …).

Global feed — all published events:

/feed/events.ical

Per-organisation feed — events from one organisation only:

/feed/org/{slug}/events.ical

Replace {slug} with the organisation's short name visible in its URL.

Paste the full URL (including https://) into your calendar app's Subscribe by URL option. The feed refreshes automatically.

RSS and JSON feeds are also available at the same paths with .rss and .json extensions.

Following on the Fediverse (ActivityPub)

Each organisation has a Fediverse actor you can follow from Mastodon, Pleroma, or any ActivityPub-compatible platform.

The handle is shown on each organisation's page:

@{actor}@{domain}

Search for the handle in your Fediverse client and click Follow. New events will appear in your home feed as they are published.

You can also follow the shared relay actor to receive events from all organisations at once — its handle is shown on the organisations list page.

Suggesting an event

If you know of an upcoming event that is not yet listed, you can submit it for review.

  1. Click Suggest event in the navigation bar
  2. Fill in the event details — title, date, location, and a link to the event page
  3. Submit — you will receive a confirmation email
  4. A moderator reviews the suggestion and publishes it if appropriate

Your email address is used only to confirm the submission and notify you of the outcome. It is not shown publicly.
